2015 Lagos boat regatta held in style

Since the inception of Lagos Black Heritage Festival in 2010, in which boat regatta has been one of the event in celebration of Lagosian culture that have started over a hundred years ago, it has since become a trademark with more participant and better organizing. It did not only remain an event for Lagosian as more states from the federation and international organization made their entry and added colour to the activities of the event.

This year's event which was held on sunday, april 19th includes swimming, water race, colourful boats parade among others.

'The outcome of this year's event shows we have grown beyond our boundaries and barriers with each year adding more glitz and glamour' says Mr. Disun Holloway, the commissioner for Tourism and Inter-Governmental Affairs.

At the event, Mr. Disun Holloway officially announced the new date slated for the carnival to culminated this year's BHF after been shifted for principal because of the just concluded general election. Stating that the carnival will holds on the 2nd of May at the same venue.




This year's event featured other Nigerian states such as Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Cross- River and other international marine based club. Also featured was the Lagos Jet Skiing Club.
