Opinion: "Love at first sight"

Love at first sight it is called. You get enchanted with your eyes falling on  that feminine curves. She has got it, back and front in the right proportion.
His thick voice struck your ears, on turning back to see who just called your attention, by "Hi Damsel", you starred on a tall figure with broad chest, charming eyes and great smile. Am I right?????? As in finding yourself in love with someone you are meeting for the very first time. At a friends birthday, party eatery, wedding, the list is endless.

Yeah! That's it. I overheard someone talked about "Love at first sight". This is not new to us. But the meaning and recent opinion shared by this man is worth sharing with you.. Like seriously I have been trying to comprehend and see through this gentle man's eyes. How and what brought about his views on this said piece of words "Love at first sight"

In this gentle man's context, "Love at first sight" is fallacious in its conclusion and contrary in its meaning. He said "There is nothing of such". As a man or woman; emotionally mature and psychologically stable, we have a pre conceive idea, information and standard about our said choice of counterpart. Little will one think about it before giving up for it. And once such things happens, it is hence called "Love at first sight"

It has been seen, nurtured and accepted in one's heart, seeing the description of one's mental image makes the rapport less casual.

A lady once said "If you see a guy you would want to have continuous conversation with, little will you think of it before even establishing a rapport with him.

However, since human opinions and views differs, one may not be able to draw straight conclusion about love/relationship related issues.

In another lady's  conversation about her hubby. She said "I never like him from the beginning, he was not my choice of man". "Tall, handsome, fair in complexion, he his a pastor for that matter" ... Haabaa". But after few months of persistence, she gave in and are both happily married.

She never loved him from the beginning and with time...... There love story became reality.

The newly wedded couple, Dayo Awodani (groom) and Tosin Ogunbajo (bride) after years in relationship took to stage and be officially pronounced husband and wife. The both had started back then in school which graduated to the next stage on Saturday, 18th of April.

The couple confided to our correspondence said "It is a new beginning" and are grateful to both families who have stood behind them to see the union a success.

2015 Lagos boat regatta held in style

Since the inception of Lagos Black Heritage Festival in 2010, in which boat regatta has been one of the event in celebration of Lagosian culture that have started over a hundred years ago, it has since become a trademark with more participant and better organizing. It did not only remain an event for Lagosian as more states from the federation and international organization made their entry and added colour to the activities of the event.

This year's event which was held on sunday, april 19th includes swimming, water race, colourful boats parade among others.

'The outcome of this year's event shows we have grown beyond our boundaries and barriers with each year adding more glitz and glamour' says Mr. Disun Holloway, the commissioner for Tourism and Inter-Governmental Affairs.

At the event, Mr. Disun Holloway officially announced the new date slated for the carnival to culminated this year's BHF after been shifted for principal because of the just concluded general election. Stating that the carnival will holds on the 2nd of May at the same venue.

This year's event featured other Nigerian states such as Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Cross- River and other international marine based club. Also featured was the Lagos Jet Skiing Club.

Heroes' Past.

For years, many have fought for freedom. For their own, but that of their people. Unborn children whose destiny depends on how farther can stand still in the face of adversity.

We are here today because others have paid the prize. They say "Freedom itself is not free" there is always a prize to pay.not of bronze, silver or gold coins; not of jades and jewel. But the ultimate prize. One's life if need be.

William Wallace was a scotish noble. He had seen his father died fighting for the free will of men and women of Scotland. He grew up living on his father's dream. To see Scotland free from England.

In his struggle for survival and resilience of the Scots will, he was captured and prosecuted before men, women and children of England. After so much torture, he was beheaded and his body torn to pieces. His head was sent to the London bridge. His arms and legs were sent to the four corners of Britain as warning.

In the year 1314, on field of burnuckburn. Scottish men and noble fought for their freedom. The fought with pride. Not to die for their country, but to live and be free. They fought like warrior poet and their freedom was won.

Engagement ring, Wedding ring and Suffe'ring!

Quite a lot have been said and written about marriage and relationship. From counselling to talk show, radio program and all that. So I will need not to start repeating whatsoever we may heard or read about the said marriage and relationship related issues.

However, not matter how much experience we may have, directly or indirectly; there are many things we still don't knkw. Huh! Sorry I meant no insult. Just that learning is an endless journey in life. So we keep learning.

Let me introduce you to the types of rings we recently discovered. Huh! I know what's on your mind. Uhmm!... You are almost correct.

We have 3 types of rings which are the engagement ring, wedding ring and suffe'ring.

Engagement ring like we all know is a pre marriage ring. After weeks, months or years in a relationship and you both thinks it has been good so far you have been together. Then the need to take it to the next step comes in.
And one day he just invites you to somewhere conducive and the drama begins. He kneel before you, grab your hand and insert a ring. With a smile on his face while he ask you that long awaited question. "Will you be my wife?"
Of course most ladies will say capital YES without hesitation.

The second ring is the much popular and most honoured one. Wedding ring. So much adorned by ladies. Giving or taken before throng of feiends,family members and well wishers. "Bad belle people dey come a time sha". Even mo gbo mo ya sef.

However, wedding ring is always the precursor to the last type of ring on the list. Suffe'ring. After making vows openly. For better for worst. In sickness and health. For rich for poor. However you are able to manage yourself determines if the wedding ring will turn Suffe'ring or remains and serve as the symbol of union and love.

I don't wanna start talking about how suffe'ring look like. Don't wanna scare you anyway.

To ladies out there who are expecting ring. Be wise and chose properly. But sorry I can't chose for you. What is right for me might be wrong for you.
